Jose Benavidez (father of David Benavidez) breaks down to me exactly why Canelo is afraid to fight the Mexican Monster
The most significant matchup in boxing is undoubtedly Canelo vs. Benny. David Benavidez earned the nickname "The Mexican Monster" from boxing legend Mike Tyson, yet the so-called "face of boxing" has evaded a showdown with David for over seven years. When I asked Jose Benavidez why Canelo seems so afraid to fight David, he replied, "Because Canelo hasn't dropped anyone in years," adding that "his reflexes aren't the same," that Canelo knows he stands no chance against David.
After repeatedly trying to out Canelo on various platforms and following his fight with Jamie Munguia, David grew weary of pursuing Canelo. He then moved up to the 175-pound division, where he defeated David Morrell and now faces a true challenge at 175 when he fights Anthony Yarde on November22, 2025.

Josh Taylor Officially hangs em up

He retires with a record of 19-3 (13 KO), with his three losses occurring in his last three fights. Despite his recent struggles, the peak of Taylor's career was remarkable and should not be overlooked. Usky knocks out Dubois in round 5
It seems like nobody can stop Usyk.
Oleksandr Usyk took on Daniel Dubois in a rematch, and in the first fight, Daniel should have received a knockout, but the referee didn't count it as one. Usyk got up and beat Daniel down after that, but this still left many fans saying that Daniel should have won the fight because of the knockdown, as Usyk was laid out on the ground for long time.
Usyk proved in the rematch that his win wasn't a fluke and knocked out Daniel in the 5th round of their fight. This reinforces our point here at Allthingzboxing817 that Usyk always beats his opponents worse in the rematch!
